Our Story
Rooted in Arusha and Made to Feel Like Home
Welcome to Shashoni
A Peaceful Eco Lodge in Arusha
Shashoni Arusha Eco Lodge is a welcoming accommodation retreat created for travellers who value comfort, calm surroundings and sincere Tanzanian hospitality. Located in the Shashoni area of Nkoanrua, within the wider Shangarai area of Arusha, the lodge offers a peaceful alternative to the movement of the city while keeping guests within convenient reach of central Arusha, the main road, airports and the attractions surrounding Mount Meru. Our collection of rooms and suite apartments welcomes solo travellers, couples, friends and families at different stages of their Tanzania journey.
A Name with a Sense of Place
Rooted in the Shashoni Community
The name Shashoni reflects the local area in which our lodge is rooted. It connects the property to its surroundings, its community and the peaceful character of this part of Arusha. Rather than creating a stay that feels separated from its location, we want guests to experience a welcoming home that belongs naturally to the landscape around it. The name represents where our story begins and the sense of place we hope every guest remembers after leaving.
